How do I start a learning action?

To start an action, go to Lern-Start and select the action you want to perform. The flow will start automatically. You can choose between: Explain Topic: Learn step by step with your AI tutor. He explains and asks comprehension questions. Solve Task: Get the solution path and result directly. Topic Overview: Get a structured summary of a topic. Your Library: Jump to the desired location in the library to use learning documents. Practice Topic (coming soon): Create practice exercises on a specific topic.

How do I have a topic explained?

Press the Explain Topic tile. Choose the desired subject (the library will be sorted accordingly), select the timeframe, i.e. the session duration. It is preset as stored in your profile, but you can adjust it here every time if desired. Enter your topic in the input field (e.g. digestion, Napoleon, or fractions, depending on the subject). Then press "Let's go" at the bottom. Your AI tutor will then guide you step by step through the learning process.

How do I solve a task?

Press the Solve Task tile. Choose the desired subject (the library will be sorted accordingly). Describe the task or your question, or usually better: upload a photo of the task (using the Upload button). Then press "Let's go" at the bottom. Your AI tutor will then guide you step by step through the task with a model solution.

How do I create a topic overview?

Press the Topic Overview tile. Choose the desired subject (the library will be sorted accordingly). Describe the desired topic (e.g. digestion, Napoleon, or fractions, depending on the subject). Then press "Let's go" at the bottom. Your AI tutor will then create an individual summary of the topic for you (approx. 4-8 pages).

Which subjects are available?

HUNSE Helps! supports a wide range of subjects such as Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Languages, and Humanities. You can find the subjects in the list on the left side of Lern-Start.

How can I start a new topic?

"New Session" ends the current session (without saving) and starts a new empty session so you can begin again with a new topic.

How do I change my tutor style?

You can change your preferred tutor style on the Settings page. This selection is applied to all future sessions. On Lern-Start, the selected tutor style is only used for the current session (if different from Settings).

How do I change the theme?

Use the theme selector in the sidebar to switch between light and dark modes, and choose from three accent colors: Turquoise, Blue, or Red. Your preferences are saved automatically.

What are the tiles on the start page?

The four tiles are your learning launchpad — each one starts a different type of activity: 📘 Understand – Start a session with the AI tutor to explore a topic in depth (10 tokens). ✏️ Solve – Get step-by-step help with a specific exercise or problem (2 tokens). 📋 Overview – Receive a compact summary of any topic (3 tokens). 📂 Library – Open your personal document library (free).

Can I use voice input?

Yes! When you click on "Voice" and the microphone symbol in the input field, you can dictate your input. When you have finished speaking, you need to press it again. The spoken text then appears as text in the session. After 30 seconds, voice input automatically turns off.

Is text-to-speech available?

Accepted Answer

When you click the speaker symbol at the top right of a message window, the text of that window will be read aloud to you. It may take a few seconds for the audio to start. If you click there again, the audio will stop.

Can I upload something?

With "Upload" you can upload files or images (JPEG, PNG) and PDFs during your learning sessions. This is helpful for sharing tasks, book pages, or other learning materials. These are analyzed and used in the session.

What if the answer options don't fit?

If the offered answer options (e.g., answer "a) - d)" or "Save & end") do not match your desired answer, you can simply type your answer into the input field. This always has priority and will be processed.

Can I get a summary at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You don't have to wait until the end of a session. Simply type "Summary" or "Zusammenfassung" into the input field at any point during the session, and HUNSE will immediately generate a structured summary of everything covered so far. This works in any language. The summary can then be saved and emailed as usual.

What is an "active action"?

An active action is a learning activity you have currently started — for example a session, a task, or an overview generation. You can only have one active action at a time. Once you finish or end the current action, you can start a new one. You'll find your active action at the top of the start page.

What is the Action History?

The Action History shows all your completed learning activities in chronological order. For each entry you can see the type (session, task, overview), subject, topic, duration, and number of messages. This helps you track what you've already worked on.

Is there a summary?

At the end of a session, a summary is generated and displayed (last section). With "Save and end", it is saved in your Library in the "Summaries" tab. You can also have this summary (not the entire session) automatically sent to you by email if you have enabled this in the Settings page. You can also send it to yourself manually at any time using the "Email button".

Are videos on the topic available?

At the end of a session, after "Save and end", you can click on "Video List". A list of the 10 best-rated videos on this topic on YouTube will then be extracted. This is saved under the summary in your Library and emailed to you.

Does Hunse remember previous sessions?

There are memory files in your Library in the Learning Profiles tab. These are used when you have already had a session on this subject, i.e., Hunse builds on your previous sessions.

What are learning profiles and how do they work?

HUNSE automatically creates a learning profile for each subject after your sessions. Only the most recent profile per subject is stored and used. When you start a new session in the same subject, HUNSE uses this profile to understand your current level and adapt the lesson accordingly. Older profiles are automatically replaced — so your profile is always up to date.

How does the PDF download work?

When you click the download button, the suggested filename is automatically copied to your clipboard. A print dialog then opens — simply paste the filename with Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac) when saving. Tip: The PDF version is better formatted than the email version, with proper tables, formulas, and layout.

How does the file upload work?

In your Library you can upload your own files. Click "Upload", select a file (PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG, TXT or MD, max. 20 MB), choose a subject (required) and optionally enter a topic. Your uploaded files then appear sorted by subject alongside your AI-generated summaries.

What are tokens and how do they work?

Tokens are the internal currency at HUNSE Helps! Each activity uses a certain number of tokens: Session (Understand): 10 tokens per session Task solution (Solve): 2 tokens per task Topic overview (Overview): 3 tokens per overview Standard plan: 100 tokens/month (reset monthly). Single purchase: 10 tokens (one-time). Premium: unlimited tokens. Unused tokens expire at the end of the month. Your current balance is shown on the start page.

Every user gets a unique, permanent Referral Code (e.g. REF-2WYVUM) when they first register. You can share this code with friends and others to recommend HUNSE Helps. When they register and enter your code, they get 50% off their first month and you get a free month (or a credit for the monthly value of their subscription).

How do I subscribe or change my plan?

You can subscribe on the "Products" page: New subscription: Choose a product (Standard or Premium), confirm with your Billing PIN, select the variant (Monthly or Annual) and complete the purchase via Stripe Checkout. Change plan (e.g. from Standard to Premium): Click "Manage Booking". You will be redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal where you can upgrade or downgrade your plan. Note: It is not possible to have two subscriptions at the same time. Always use "Manage Booking" for changes.

How can I cancel and what are the deadlines?

The cancellation deadline depends on your plan type: Monthly plan: Can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the end of the current month. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period – you can continue using the service until then. Annual plan: An annual plan has a fixed term of 12 months. After that, your plan will automatically switch to a monthly plan that can be cancelled at the end of any month. Alternatively, you can renew your annual plan at a discounted rate. Single sessions: No cancellation needed – this is a one-time payment without a subscription. How to cancel: Go to the "Products" page and click "Manage Booking". You can cancel your subscription in the Stripe Customer Portal.

How do I change or cancel my subscription?

You can manage your subscription at any time via the billing area: ⬆️ Upgrade/Downgrade – Go to Settings → Billing and click "Manage Subscription". You'll be redirected to the secure customer portal where you can switch plans. ❌ Cancel – In the same portal, select "Cancel Subscription". Your access remains active until the end of the current billing period. Important: For billing changes you'll need your billing PIN. If you've forgotten it, you can reset it via email.

Is my data secure?

Yes! We only store first name and email plus usage-related data (profile, actions), no personal data such as address, phone, or payment data (this is only stored securely with the payment provider). All your personal information, session data, and documents are securely encrypted and stored. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your privacy.

Can I install HUNSE Helps! as an app?

Yes! HUNSE Helps! is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that you can install on your device. Benefits: faster access, your own app icon, and an app-like experience. Android/Chrome: Tap "Install" in the banner or use the browser menu → "Install app". iOS/Safari: Tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen". Desktop Chrome/Edge: Click "Install" in the banner or the install icon in the address bar. Note: Firefox Desktop and Safari macOS do not support PWA installation. On iOS, Safari is required.
